Installation Notes

Inspect the Tapered Hole: Before fitting the new arm, check the steering knuckle's tapered hole for wear. If there is any "play" or if the hole is no longer perfectly round, the new arm will vibrate loose, potentially causing a steering failure.
Cleanliness is Key: Use a wire brush to remove any rust or shipping grease from the tapered surfaces. A "metal-to-metal" dry fit is essential for the taper to lock correctly.
Torque to Spec: Never use an impact wrench for the final tightening. Use a torque wrench to meet the Sinotruk service manual specs. Over-tightening can stretch the forged metal, while under-tightening leads to dangerous steering slop.
New Hardware Only: Always use a brand-new castle nut and a fresh cotter pin. Reusing an old, brittle pin is a common mistake that can lead to catastrophic results.
Alignment Check: Once the AZ9719413004 is installed, a full wheel alignment is mandatory. Replacing a steering arm changes the geometry of the front end, and skipping the alignment will result in rapid tire wear and poor fuel economy.
